Who We Are
Carina grew up on an old dairy farm in Massachusetts, which her parents have since turned into a winery. With a passion for nordic ski racing, she moved to Norway when she was 16. Her year abroad changed the way she looked at the world, and ever since, Carina has enjoyed exploring other countries. As a product developer, she has traveled and worked in China, South Korea, Thailand, Dominican Republic, Peru, Italy, Spain, Ethiopia and the US. Carina started Nine Concept Creation in 2012 after years of hands-on experience at the parent company of Keen Footwear, Rofu Design. Carina still loves the snow, skis as much as she can in the winter, and mountain bikes and runs during the warmer months.
Raised in Montana, Robby grew up skiing and exploring big sky country with his family and friends. Inspired by his passion for the outdoors Robby looked to the outdoor industry after graduating from Gonzaga University. He found his way to Portland in 2011 to work for Icebreaker before starting at Nine Concept Creation in 2014. At Nine Concept Creation Robby spends his time working with brands to help with product positioning as well as managing product development. In his spare time Robby can be found up in the mountains skiing in the winter, or hiding out in Hood River mountain biking in the summer.
